Tiki Cat introduces Baby line for kittens

St. LOUIS – Tiki Cat®, a line of cat foods and treats owned by Whitebridge Pet Brands, launched its latest cat feeding solution on September 20th. The new product line Tiki Cat Baby™, specially designed for kittens from birth to 12 months.

The first product in this line is a supplement designed specifically for cats with low weight.

This smooth liquid supplement is formulated for ease of consumption and digestion, and consists of chicken, liver, and eggs. It’s 28% fat and 25 calories per packet to boost energy and a healthy weight gain, the company said.

Tiki Pets® cited Pet WebMD saying that newborn kittens should gain at least 10 grams of body weight each day during development. The brand notes that this level of natural weight gain may require supplementation in some cases.

“If a newborn cat is underweight or losing weight, the first thing a pet parent should do is consult a vet to make sure there are no underlying health issues,” said Ann Hudson, Vice President of Marketing for Tiki Pets. “If not, Tiki Cat Baby Thrive can provide an ideal solution to getting kittens to reach their ideal weight and keeping them on target for their growth, with supplemental healthy protein and high calories packed into a small meal that small stomachs can handle.”

Tiki Cat Baby Thrive Supplements are sold in packs of 20 individual sachets.

This latest supplement is joined by three other Tiki Cat Baby formulas, including Mousse & Shreds, a “primary food” that features finely shredded and shredded poultry proteins. This diet is designed to wean kittens that are at least 4 weeks old.

The other two are whole food formulas – the chicken and salmon recipe and the chicken and egg recipe – and are suitable for kittens between 8 weeks and 1 year of age. They contain high levels of protein and fat to support growth.
