The Record Delta | Animal outreach project offers “Spaytacular” Black Friday special

Buchanon A local nonprofit organization focused on animal awareness is offering a “Spaytacular” Black Friday deal to cat owners in the area. Animal Outreach Project, Inc. receives More than 3,000 applicants annually request sterilization and sterilization assistance. Since 2015, they have assisted with more than 2,500 spays and neuters.

Being a nonprofit organization that relies solely on donations and grants, the AOP is not always able to help everyone, according to the organization’s founder and president, Christy Lloyd. AOP has received grant funding from the WV Department of Agriculture over the past few years, and most recently received a Doris Day Animal Foundation grant.

This year during the Spaytacular sale, they’re offering $5 and $10, limited to one person per family. To be eligible for the Black Friday special, individuals must provide two proof of income, one of which is some form of government assistance that includes a payment stub, a tax return, an SSI statement, or a statement of benefits from DHHR for the current month. . This special offer is one of several that run throughout the year, provided they have financing.

With only 10 places available, individuals must express their interest immediately, as the first 10 sites that have submitted the required documents will get the deal.
