Whether she’s snuggling with us on the couch or posing as a “Bohemian Rhapsody,” cats tend to make everything better. They can even improve iconic movie scenes — or at least make them more awesome. In this video from OwlKitty, T-Rex from Jurassic Park (1993) replaced by the YouTube channel’s namesake black cat.
As The AV Club reports, OwlKitty (who goes to Lizzy when she’s not in front of the camera) has become popular online because of her appearances in classic films. For her latest role, she was replaced by shocking proportions and edited in T-Rex Arena scene Jurassic Park.
Instead of a terrifying dinosaur, the cat is shown wandering through the destroyed electric fence with a hungry look in its eyes. Flashlights and torches in the sequence have been replaced by cat food, and OwlKitty gives a convincingly scary performance whenever dinner is on display.
Sam Neill’s exhortation to Jeff Goldblum to “stay completely still” is funny in this context – and related to cat owners who are used to launching sneak attacks from their pets. But this cat is not all teeth and claws. The video ends with Neil cuddling with a giant cat instead of an animatronic Triceratops.
You can watch “Jurassic Park but with a cat parody” below. Not many people see any monster cats in the first place Jurassic ParkBut there are a lot of things in the movie that deserve credit. Here are some details to look for the next time you see it.
