betterKormotech, the brand of premium quality cat and dog food, welcomes Gregory Mandel as Regional Sales Director for the Eastern United States, bringing over 15 years of experience in the pet industry to his new role, where he will be responsible for introducing Optimeal products into independent retail stores. and create market share within the US Eastern Territory.

Mandel will work with store staff to educate them about the Optimeal brand, highlighting the nutritional benefits, uniqueness, and overall advantages of the brand in the marketplace. He will also help in managing the brand’s exclusive distributor, Philips pet food and supplies, by working with management and internal and external sales teams to inform and train them on the complete Optimeal product line.

Prior to joining Optimeal, Mandel served as Director of Sales at Blue Buffalo, where he developed and implemented sales strategies for eight territory managers in the eastern US and exceeded annual sales targets by an average of 75%. While at Blue Buffalo, he was awarded the Blue Buffalo Hall of Fame for being a top performer and for his overall contributions to the company. Prior to that, he held the position of Area Sales Director at MARS under the Pet Division, managing major accounts such as Petco and PetSmart, along with other high-volume chains. At MARS, Mandel has received awards for being the best in sales and public speaking, for training most retail store employees nationally and for distribution in most retail stores.
