“While many know I am a passion for cooking, I am just as passionate about the cats in my life,” said Fly. “Made by Nacho blends these feelings together, and with Nacho by my side, I’m proud to share what we’ve created. While I am inspired by the recipes, Nacho does the hard work of creating the menu and selecting each ingredient.”
Stars in Fly Bobby Flay won on the Food Network, and he has guest hosted a number of shows. He’s known for his southwestern cuisine in his restaurants, but he’s proven to be a master at any number of dishes when faced with a challenge on TV.
Made by Nacho features wet cat food formulas, dry kibble systems, and freeze-dried protein types. Formulas include cage-free chicken, grass-fed beef, and sustainably sourced salmon, balanced with pumpkin, cranberries, blueberries and kale to provide antioxidants and other essential nutrients. Formulas also include millet and oats for added fiber, as well as prebiotics and probiotics to support digestive health.
“Dogs have led research and development in pet food companies for long enough, and I am excited to collaborate with Nacho and educate the larger cat community about cat health,” Lang said. “I worked with Nacho to determine what’s best for cat diets, from nutritional content, to flavor — because palatability is essential to cat food.”
Flay and Nacho also founded the Made by Nacho Charitable Trust through the New York Community Trust, which will provide grant money to EveryCat Health and Best Friends Animal.
The products are available on the brand’s website and will be sold exclusively in PetSmart stores starting April 19.
