FDA: Woody’s Pet Food Deli Recalls Raw Cornish Hen Pet Food for Salmonella

The FDA has reported that Woody’s Pet Food Deli in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is recalling the pet food label of Cornish raw hens “with supplements” due to salmonella health risks.

The product was distributed at the company’s retail stores in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Woodbury, Minnesota.

Two 5-pound tubs were sold at the company’s St Paul store. Twelve 15-ounce containers were distributed through the three retail stores in Twin Cities, Minnesota.

The company is continuing its investigations as to the source of the problem and will resume production when the problem is resolved. A recall is the result of FDA sampling due to a consumer complaint about another product, which testing showed that a sample of that product contains salmonella.

According to the FDA report, Woody’s Pet Food Deli made the following announcement:
