Dongwon F&B partners with domestic pet product maker to develop moist food packs for pets

SEOUL – Dongwon F&B has partnered with Bmsmile, a domestic pet product brand operator, to develop functional wet pet food packaged in airtight pouches and cans and expand its presence in the rapidly growing pet products market in South Korea that is expected to It stands at 6 trillion won ($5 billion) in 2027.

Dongwon F&B said in a statement on January 3 that the company has signed a cooperation agreement with Bmsmile. Dongwon F&B, the country’s largest canned tuna manufacturer, opened a pet products online mall in 2020 and released a variety of premium wet pet food products using the know-how in manufacturing canned tuna products.

Dongwon Online Pet Products Center Chew Chew has compared major online shopping malls that offer regular grocery delivery services, to provide regular delivery service of pet food and health products such as pet shampoo and wet tissues. Pethroom operated by Bmsmile, a premium pet products maker in South Korea, focuses on pet clothing, health and cosmetic products including harnesses, water bowls, nail clippers and cat toilets.
