Clarksville, TN – More than 600 families will be having a special Thanksgiving this year. Despite challenges related to supply chain issues and food shortages, the Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR) and its affiliate Spreading Our Support (SOS) were able to successfully host the annual Thanksgiving All Foods campaign.
These Thanksgiving meals will go to organizations throughout the community to include: CMCSS, YAIPaks, Loaves and Fishes, Operation Standdown, and the Hispanic American Association. On November 22, 50 volunteers were delivered to 24 locations in Montgomery County.
Thanksgiving for All is funded by cash donations from CAR members and friends, as well as sourcing assistance from Hilltop Grocery, Gordon Food Services and Nicoletta’s Catering.
“I was honored to help with this event, along with the Helping Hands Committee, SOS Foundation and CAR members. The number of families we have been able to serve is truly a blessing. As real estate brokers, we are always looking for ways to serve our community and I believe we have been able to do so this Thanksgiving season. This,” said Sandy Hester, Chair of the Helping Hands Committee for 2021.
