PITTSBURGH – Bully Max, a high-performance dog food brand, announced in late December the launch of its new Puppy Chews, a canine development supplement designed to support immunity and gut health. Chewing is intended for all breeds of dogs at least 7 weeks old.
According to the company, puppies require higher proportions of protein and fat in their diets than adult dogs to support growth and development. The chews are formulated with the active ingredients Colostrum, an organic mushroom blend, Tynagen™, and an immune-supporting probiotic blend.
Colostrum is the high-octane milk produced by mammals in the last few weeks of pregnancy. The ingredient can be used as a supplement for immune and gut health and can also have anti-inflammatory benefits.
Mushroom mix includes reishi, cordyceps, chaga, misima, lions maine, turkey, maitake, shiitake, blaze, borya, agaricone, suhirotake, oysters and real mushrooms. Includes probiotic immune blend Bifidobacterium animalis, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, And Lactobacillus delbruecki.
The first few inactive ingredients are barley flour, carob powder, carrot, coconut glycerin, and flaxseed. Each chew provides at least 17% raw protein, 26% raw fat, and at most 4% raw fiber. Soft chew supplements are vet-approved and formulated with all-natural ingredients, according to Bully Max.
Earlier this year, Bully Max introduced its high-calorie Pro Series dry dog food, which includes all-natural animal meat and provides 600 calories per cup.
